Here are two pictures from my sister-in-law, Donielle’s wedding.
I couldn’t believe my eyes after Raven was done getting dresses and her hair fixed. She looked so grown up! She really liked how Tara (the maid of honor) did her hair and make-up.
This one is of Mike and Raven dancing at the Reception.
Two pictures of my husband, Mike, playing one of his guitars. I really like these pictures. I am lucky that my husband is very photogentic even though he doesn’t particularly like me taking all these pictures of him. Most of the time he is very supportive of it and will let me snap away. The first photo is in black and white and the second photo has a vintage coloring to it.
Yes, yes another set of photos featuring the orange ball of orneriness known as Jedi.
What else can I say.
Lately I have been watching old episodes of The Office on Nexflix’s watch now. The Office is one of the best shows ever! I love Jim Halpert. I truly do. What does that have to do with the pictures of Jedi you may ask? Absolutely freaking nothing.
We got Raven’s report card in the mail today all A’s. She has been promoted to the 5th grade which is really no surprise since she almost always gets straight A’s except for the occasional B which only happens once of twice a school year. God how I hope she keeps getting these types of grades when she enters junior high and *gulp* high school. She has one more school year left and she will be out of elementary school and into junior high. You know, I always got a tad bit annoyed when people would tell me “It just seems like yesterday when she was a baby†but lately for the past couple of years it does seem like they are just flying by. I remember being in school and having the school year just seem to drag by, it would be like forever (that’s my best valley girl impression) until the summer vacation would start. But now it’s just . . . BOOM . . . and the school year has ended. Is that something that come with old age?
Oh and here is my new myspace profile picture. It didn’t turn out the way I was actually hoping for but oh well. It will do for now until I can come up with something better.
Ok, this photo isn’t that good but I just find the look on London’s face so amusing. I took this photo a couple of years ago. I was crocheting and one of my balls of yarn rolled off the couch and London took off with it. After a couple of minutes of me screaming at him to drop it he finally did and I snap this pic.
I took this shot while down visiting my Nan and mom. This photo is of my Aunt Lois with her grand-daughter Mary. I gave it a light colored look to it. Just about every Sunday we go down to my Mom and Nan’s house for Sunday dinner. It’s a time to shot the shit with them and just spend some time with family. It can also be a great opportunity for me to get some excellent shots.
While at my Mom and Nan’s house, I was walking around their yard taking pictures of all the lovely flowers that are blooming and I ran across this little butterfly on one of the lilies. The little butterfly was a good sport, allowing me to snap a few shots before he went looking for another flower.
Mike left this morning at 11 to go on his Katmasters.com fishing get together at the Ohio River. He will come home sometime Sunday. So that means Raven and I have the house to ourselves for the weekend. Well, actually just for tonight cause Saturday she will be staying the night with my mom so I will have the house to myself Saturday night. I will get to catch up on some movies I have been wanting to see like The Messengers, John Carpenter’s newest film Pro-Life (which I have been waiting forever for him to make a new movie) and John Landis’s Family. I will probably spend sometime with my mom and Nan Saturday when I take Raven down there.
Nan has been worrying us some. She has been talking about death lately and who gets what when she dies. Last weekend Raven and I was down vising with her and mom (with my Aunt Lois and cousin Missy aka Sis) and Nan started talking about dying again. So me and Aunt Lois started joking about our funerals. I have all ready said that if I go before Mike I want mom and Aunt Lois to start the rumor that Mike might have poisoned me. Mike doesn’t find that funny one bit but I think it’s hilarious. Aunt Lois said she wants a purple tomb stone with flashing lights so everyone knows where her grave is. I told her we could record her saying something and then rig it up to a motion sensor so whenever someone would pass her grave it would shout out “Get the hell off my propertyâ€. And I want whoever is in charge of my funeral to rig up a hand in front of my grave that pops up whenever someone goes by. This got Nan to laughing. I don’t know why she is know obsessing over death. She has never been one to worry about such things. My Nan turned 82 years old in May and she has always been a fun “old ladyâ€. You can joke with her about anything even if it would normally offend other people Nan just laughs along with us or tell us “Bullshitâ€. She’s pretty close to being like Sophia from The Golden Girls. She is one hell of a lady.
Another photo shoot (LOL) with the ever so popular pain in the arse cat named Jedi Knight Flanigan. Yes, his middle name is Knight. Yes, we give our pets middle names. Why? Do you find this odd? Cause that is just the icing on the cake. Do you know that Jedi and London have their names signed right along with Mike, Raven’s and mine on the Christmas cards we send out.
1. Do you currently subscribe to any magazines? If so, which ones?
I currently do not have any subscriptions to any magazines. Mike has a subscriptions to The Linking Ring, which is a magazine for magicians, and Raven has a subscription to the Pokemon magazine.
2. What magazines have you subscribed to in the past?
Fangoria magazine (I would love to subscribe to it again but it’s too damn expensive) and TV Guide. I am sure I had subscriptions to other magazines when I was little but I can’t remember.
3. What do you do with the little cards that always fall out of the magazine? Do you toss them, or have you found a use for them?
I just toss them in the trash.
4. If you could start a magazine, what would it be about? Who or what would be on the cover of the first issue?
I would have to think about that cause I am not for sure.
